At the airport of Málaga, take the:
- MA-20 direction Málaga
- Follow sings for Motril and Almeria A7
- Head towards Almeria to the
- Exit: Salida 272 Vélez-Málaga
- At the roundabout, head towards Vélez and La Viñuela
  (Keep left on the roundabout)
- Drive straight ahead until you see a right signpost: Periana, Alcaucín, Alhama
- You see the lake on your left, go straight, DO NOT take to Alcaucín, but
- Keep driving until the first traffic lights, up to the butcher,
- Turn right towards Venta Baja
- Continue through the village and uphill until a right turn signposted, Escalerillas, La Catana.
- Proceed downhill to the left hand corner
- Continue along to the second house on the right, Casa Utopia
